Advocacy for Children & for Self

Advocacy is the act of pleading or arguing in favor of something, such as a cause, idea, or policy; active support.

Better Days Ahead Family Support Network can provide advocacy for you and your family.  BDA also teaches advocacy skills to families so that they can advocate for themselves.

Advocacy services are available for:

  • Education (re: Individuals with Disabilities Education Act)
  • Family driven services and supports
  • Youth guided services and supports
  • Timely, appropriate and affordable services
  • Legislative changes that impact any of the above
  • Empowerment of families and youth
  • Any issues that involve the rights or welfare of children and families
